Facilities Management maintains, repairs, constructs, renovates and alters University facilities and installs systems in accordance with applicable codes and regulations and in conformance to University standards. Some University auxiliary enterprises maintain separate arrangements for minor facilities maintenance and repair.
The development of project plans, specifications, inspections and reviews are readily provided by Facilities Management professional staff. When plans and specifications are prepared by Facilities Management, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s Facilities Management Design Guidelines are incorporated to ensure compliance with existing policies.
Consultants, contractors, and University staff are subject to the Facilities Management Design Guidelines for the design, construction, and renovation of University-owned facilities.
