Road Closure on Cameron Blvd.

Date:
February 18, 2014

Due to construction of the new 408-bed residential building Martin Hall, a section of Cameron Blvd. will be temporarily closed to regular vehicle access for approximately nine to twelve weeks. The section is scheduled to close Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, and re-open prior to commencement.

The area is located at the intersection of Mary Alexander Blvd. and Cameron Blvd., near the Student Health Center and Hawthorn Hall. A person will be available at both gated ends to allow CATS buses to pass through from 6:20 AM to 10:00 PM Monday - Thursday, and from 6:20 AM to 6:00 PM on Friday.

A walkway will be available for pedestrians. All other vehicles and SafeRide will be unable to use the area during this time.  Please note the logistics and detour maps below, showing the alternate traffic flow during this time.

For questions, please contact Jen Evans, construction manager, Facilities Management Capital Projects: jevans83@uncc.edu; 704-687-0518. Updates will be given intermittently until the road is re-opened.
