Get Involved

Do you want to get involved in campus sustainability?

There are many opportunities to do so, from going to the Student Earth Club Meetings to writing articles for the campus newsletter.  Here is a list of opportunities that you can pursue to become a UNC Charlotte campus sustainability champion.

Get involved with student groups:

There are two main student groups on campus engaged in campus sustainability efforts at a grass roots lever, these are the Earth Club http://www.sco.uncc.edu/earthclub/  and the Charlotte Green Initiative (CGI) http://cgi.uncc.edu/ .  The Earth club meets on Monday at 5.00pm in the Green House and CGI meets in Thursdays at 4.15.  See respective websites for details of upcoming meetings and past meeting minutes.

Campus Events

There are many campus events promoting recycling and sustainability on campus.  The most prominent events are Campus Conversations, Earth Day, Campus Clean up and Campus Sustainability Week.

The Levine Scholars put on an annual Campus Sustainability Conversations program where students come together to discuss sustainability and present poster sessions on sustainability related issues.
