The Sustainability office held a workshop in May which was led by faculty members Jennifer Munroe, Mike Lizotte and Jim Bowen. The workshop filled up in 36 hours and had faculty from diverse areas including business, geography, sociology, systems engineering, education, biology, social work, philosophy, journalism, political science, and architecture. Over the course of two days, faculity were involved in an immersive experience that exposed them to concepts regarding sustainability, examples of how it has beeen incorporated into various coursework, and gave them hands-on experience engaging with the campus and surrounding community demonstrating how this concept is truly interconnected in our daily lives.
The goal is to help faculty who want to add or expand sustainability content in their courses and degree programs. Interested faculty members can contact Mike Lizotte.
