Facilities’ Planning is central to the advancement of sustainability at UNC Charlotte.

The Facilities' Planning groups' primary role is to oversee University improvements to ensure compliance with the Campus Master Plan and design standards. Facilities’ Planning also manages advance planning for programming of Capital Projects, short and long term planning and special projects, and assists in space management in cooperation with the Associate Provost for Institutional Research.  The long term perspective of Facilities Planning is a vital component in embedding sustainability as a core value of the institution by ensuring that sustainability becomes one of the key decision criteria in future planning decisions.
