December 1, 2014

NOTE: The following announcement does NOT apply to residence halls, labs, data centers and research areas.

During the University’s Winter Break, buildings will not be heated above 60⁰ from the evening of Dec. 23, 2014 through the evening of Jan 1, 2015. Additionally, building temperatures will go into “unoccupied mode” at 6 p.m. instead of 10 p.m. from Dec. 15, 2014 through Dec. 23, 2014, when there are no classes. This is a key energy saving practice in accordance with the Campus Energy Policy. If you are on campus during this period, please be prepared for colder than normal room temperatures.

The following buildings will be exempt and maintained at their normal occupied temperatures: Atkins Library, Bioinformatics, Burson, Cameron, Duke, Grigg, Police, Portal, SAC, and the research wing of Woodward.

If you have any questions, please contact your area maintenance supervisor, who can be found by entering the appropriate building name into the Building to Zone Locator found here
