This Friday and Saturday the Latin American Studies Program is carrying out its Annual Brown Conference in Latin American Studies, which will interrogate multi-disciplinary Approaches to Environmental Studies.
Outdoor Film Screening

Location: Belk Plaza
With Venture being the sponsor of this event, a film screening of the Academy Award winning Best Documentary Free Solo will be taking place in Belk Plaza. The sun sets at 8pm, so that’s when we are going to kick off! The first 25 people who arrive will be given UNC Charlotte blankets to sit on, and there will be plenty of pizza for the audience. One of the three dates will be selected once the weather forecast shows no rain.

EPIC Energy Seminar: Panel Discussion on Utility Scale Solar from a Developer's Perspective

Panelists at this EPIC Seminar will offer their perspective on the solar industry and will discuss all aspects of utility-scale solar projects from siting, designing, permitting, constructing, utility interconnecting, and operating solar facilities and how energy markets and policy play a role in these types of installations. Innovative Technologies will be the sponsoring entity of this drive, and the Jamil Niner Student Pantry will be teaming up with them as Innovative Technologies gathers up all your old, broken and/or unwanted computers, cell phones, remote controls, and anything else that can be powered up. All data is erased by certified, insured data handlers. The pantry will be collecting any canned goods you'd like to donate to them, in addition to unwanted interview attire for students in need.
