Botanical Gardens Workshop to Focus on 'A Green and Healthy New Year'
January 5th, 9-5pm
The UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens is sponsoring this event in which attendees can learn to use plants and botanical preparations to promote healthy minds, bodies, souls and homes. Registrants can choose from a full-day workshop or pick a half day–morning or afternoon. Classes include creating an indoor meditation garden, growing microgreens, making herbal teas and honeys, creating SoulCollage cards, blending a signature scent with essential oils, DIY natural home cleaning products and more. Each option includes a dessert lecture (sweet treats provided) presented by Paula Gross.
Earth Day Festival

Come on out to the newly rennovated Belk Plaza and join in on the early celebration of the 49th annual Earth Day! Artists, food trucks, and organizations from across the campus and the greater North Carolina region will be on hand to help you discover ways in which you can be a better steward of the planet.

In support of Earth Month (taking place from late March through April), the University is conducting the Spring tradition of holding a campus cleanup! Whether you are looking for some volunteer hours, or if you are just wanting to make the campus and environment a better place, this event is open to you and any friends you can convince to come lend a hand.
